This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the rules and guidelines for using our platform. By using our services, you agree to comply with this policy.

Our goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all users. This policy exists to protect our community and ensure everyone can enjoy our platform.

Violations of this policy may result in warnings, content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans, depending on the severity and frequency of violations.

The following illegal activities are strictly prohibited:

  • Fraud, scams, or deceptive practices
  • Money laundering or financing illegal activities
  • Sale or distribution of illegal substances
  • Human trafficking or exploitation
  • Distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Weapons trafficking or illegal arms sales
  • Identity theft or impersonation for illegal purposes
  • Copyright infringement or piracy
  • Hacking, unauthorized access, or distribution of malware

We report illegal activities to law enforcement authorities and cooperate fully with investigations.

Content promoting or threatening violence is not permitted:

  • Threats of violence against individuals or groups
  • Content inciting violence or physical harm
  • Glorification of violent acts or criminals
  • Instructions for creating weapons
  • Graphic violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
  • Encouraging self-harm or suicide
  • Terrorism-related content or support

If you encounter content that poses an immediate threat to safety, please report it immediately and contact local authorities if necessary.

We do not tolerate harassment or bullying in any form:

  • Targeted harassment of individuals
  • Cyberbullying or sustained negative campaigns
  • Doxxing (sharing private information without consent)
  • Stalking or unwanted persistent contact
  • Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content
  • Coordinated attacks or brigading
  • Creating accounts to evade blocks
  • Encouraging others to harass someone

Everyone deserves to feel safe on our platform. Report harassment immediately.

Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on protected characteristics is prohibited:

  • Attacks based on race, ethnicity, or national origin
  • Religious intolerance or persecution
  • Gender-based discrimination or misogyny/misandry
  • Discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity
  • Ableism or discrimination against disabled individuals
  • Age-based discrimination
  • Dehumanizing language or comparisons
  • Symbols, imagery, or phrases associated with hate groups

We support free expression but draw the line at content that attacks or demeans others.

Activities that manipulate or degrade the platform experience are prohibited:

  • Automated posting or bot accounts (without approval)
  • Repetitive or bulk posting of the same content
  • Artificial inflation of engagement metrics
  • Creating multiple accounts for manipulation
  • Unsolicited mass messaging or advertising
  • Fake reviews, testimonials, or endorsements
  • Clickbait or misleading content for traffic
  • Scraping or unauthorized data collection

Authentic engagement benefits everyone. Manipulation undermines trust in our community.

Deliberately spreading false information is not permitted:

  • Health misinformation that could cause harm
  • Election or voting misinformation
  • Manipulated or synthetic media presented as real
  • Impersonation of public figures or organizations
  • False claims about emergencies or disasters
  • Conspiracy theories presented as fact
  • Fraudulent product claims or schemes

We understand the difference between opinions, satire, and deliberate misinformation. Context matters.

Respect the privacy of others:

  • Sharing personal information without consent
  • Posting private photos or videos without permission
  • Revealing someone's identity against their wishes
  • Sharing private communications without consent
  • Stalking or tracking someone's location
  • Accessing accounts or data without authorization
  • Recording conversations without consent where required by law

Privacy is fundamental to trust. Always ask permission before sharing content about others.

Respect intellectual property rights:

  • Don't post copyrighted content without permission
  • Credit creators when sharing their work
  • Don't use trademarks in misleading ways
  • Respect patents and trade secrets
  • Don't circumvent digital rights management
  • Don't claim others' work as your own

Fair Use:

We recognize legitimate fair use for commentary, criticism, education, and news reporting. However, fair use has limits.

Commercial activities must follow our guidelines:

Permitted:

  • Sharing your business in appropriate contexts
  • Responding to requests for recommendations
  • Paid partnerships with proper disclosure
  • Selling through approved marketplace features

Prohibited:

  • Deceptive advertising or fake testimonials
  • Pyramid schemes or MLM recruitment
  • Selling prohibited or regulated items
  • Spammy promotional content
  • Undisclosed paid promotions or sponsorships

Protect the security of our platform and users:

  • Don't attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts
  • Don't distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Don't conduct denial-of-service attacks
  • Don't exploit vulnerabilities (report them responsibly)
  • Don't circumvent security or access controls
  • Don't attempt to decrypt or reverse-engineer systems
  • Don't interfere with platform infrastructure

We take a graduated approach to enforcement:

  • Warning: Education about policy violation (minor first-time offenses)
  • Content Removal: Violating content is removed
  • Feature Restriction: Temporary loss of certain features
  • Temporary Suspension: Account suspended for a set period
  • Permanent Ban: Account permanently terminated
  • Legal Action: Referral to law enforcement for serious violations

Severity depends on: the nature of the violation, history of violations, intent, and potential harm caused.

Severe violations (violence, exploitation, illegal activity) may result in immediate permanent bans without warning.

If you believe an action was taken in error, you have the right to appeal:

  • Appeals can be submitted within 30 days of action
  • Provide context and any relevant information
  • Appeals are reviewed by a different team member
  • You'll receive a response within 7-14 business days
  • Decisions on appeals are final

  • Include any evidence supporting your appeal
  • Be respectful and factual in your communication

  • All reports are reviewed by our team
  • Your identity is kept confidential
  • We take action based on our policies
  • You may receive updates on significant cases

False or malicious reporting is itself a violation of this policy.
